Born in Vancouver, BC. Canada, I grew up with a natural love of coastal landscape and beautiful gardens. I received an Arts Degree from the University of British Columbia, and an Education Degree from the University of Toronto. After five years of teaching in the Vancouver Public school system I returned to the University of British Columbia to further my studies in Fine Arts and Art Education.
As an Educator for thirty years in British Columbia and Alberta, I featured children's art through the Center for Education, calendars, school displays, and art cards. Teaching children to give visual interpretation of their surroundings has enhanced my love of garden and landscape, and deepened my inspiration and motivation for drawing and painting.
